Pharmacodynamics (PD) Service

Protheragen-ING Lab is dedicated to providing comprehensive solutions for drug efficacy evaluation through our advanced pharmacodynamics (PD) services. With a team of skilled researchers and state-of-the-art facilities, we offer in vitro and in vivo testing services to assist pharmaceutical companies, research institutions, and healthcare organizations in their quest to develop safe and effective drugs.

Introduction to pharmacodynamics

Fig.1 Pharmacodynamics (PD) Service

PD is a crucial field of study within the realm of pharmacology that explores how drugs interact with living organisms and produce therapeutic effects. It focuses on understanding the relationship between drug concentration at the site of action and the resulting pharmacological response.

By unraveling the mechanisms of drug action, PD plays a vital role in drug development, optimization, and clinical translation. It helps researchers identify the most promising drug candidates, determine optimal dosing regimens, and assess potential adverse effects.

In vitro pharmacodynamics services

Protheragen-ING Lab offers comprehensive in vitro drug efficacy testing services to evaluate the potency and effectiveness of pharmaceutical compounds. Our experienced team utilizes cutting-edge technologies and methodologies to assess drug-target interactions, dose-response relationships, and effects on cellular pathways. Through high-throughput screening and meticulous analysis, we provide valuable insights into drug activity, selectivity, and mechanism of action to aid in early drug discovery and optimization.

Detailed assays are listed in the table below.

Nucleic acid and protein assays Apoptosis assay Mitochondrial membrane potential assay
Cell autophagy assay Cell motility assay Angiogenesis assay
Cell proliferation assay Cell surface antigens Cell adhesion assay
Cell immunofluorescence assay Calcium oon concentration assay Biochemical assay
Oxidative stress assay

In vivo pharmacodynamics services

We understand the importance of thoroughly evaluating drug efficacy in organisms to bridge the gap between preclinical studies and clinical trials.

Oncology Drug PD Studies

In pursuit of effective cancer treatments, our team of professionals conducts rigorous in vivo studies to evaluate the efficacy of anti-cancer drugs. We utilize a variety of tumor model, including xenograft model and in situ model, to evaluate drug response, tumor growth inhibition, metastasis prevention, and impact on overall survival.

  • Types of drugs that can be evaluated: Chemically synthesized drugs, genetically engineered products, gene therapy drugs, antibody drugs, cell therapy products, natural drugs, and herbal extracts.
  • In vivo optical imaging system in living animals: The effect of drugs on tumor generation, growth and metastasis in animals; the absorption, distribution, and metabolism of antibodies and other biomolecules in animals.
  • Preclinical PD experiments for new drug declaration: By the latest guidelines for new drug declaration, we complete the PD evaluation of preclinical anticancer drugs, and organize and complete all the declaration information.

Non-Oncology Drug PD Studies

In addition to cancer treatment, we extend our expertise to evaluate the efficacy of drugs targeting a wide range of diseases and medical conditions. Our in vivo studies cover model related to cardiovascular disease, neurological disorders, autoimmune diseases, and more. By carefully analyzing pharmacological responses, we help our clients understand the efficacy, safety, and potential side effects of their drug candidates, facilitating evidence-based decision-making in drug development.
