Pesticide Residue Trials & Analysis

Protheragen-ING Lab offers comprehensive pesticide residue trials and analysis services that adhere to the stringent standards of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP). Our state-of-the-art facilities, experienced team of scientists, and commitment to quality make us a trusted partner for conducting reliable and accurate pesticide residue studies.

Why Pesticide Residue Trials and Analysis?

Certain pesticides may be harmful to human health and high levels of pesticide residues may lead to food poisoning or chronic health problems. Many countries and regions have regulations and standards for pesticide residues in agricultural products. Pesticide residue testing and analysis involves the detection and quantification of pesticide residues in a variety of matrices such as crops, soil, water, and animal products. These studies are essential to ensure the safety of agricultural products and compliance with regulatory standards.

Pesticide Residue Analytical Methods

  • Single Residue Methods (SRM)

It is a method for quantitatively determining the residue of a pesticide (including its toxicologically significant impurities or degradation products) in a sample, and is often applied in residue testing for pesticide registration, establishment of Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs), or for other specific purposes in pesticide management and research.

  • Multiresidue Methods (MRM)

It is a method for the simultaneous determination of more than one pesticide residue in a sample in a single analysis and is often used by regulatory and research organizations for the detection and analysis of pesticide residues in samples with an unknown history of use, to supervise, evaluate, and judge the quality of agricultural products, food, or environmental media.

Depending on the type of pesticide residue analyzed, they are generally divided into two types.

1. Selective multiresidue methods: Only analyze the same class of multiple pesticide residues, such as analyzing multiple organophosphorus pesticide residues at one time.

2. Multi-class multiresidue methods: Analyze multiple pesticide residues in multiple classes at one time.

How Protheragen-ING Lab can help

We have extensive experience in conducting chemical GLP pesticide residue studies. Through rigorous testing and advanced analytical techniques, we assess the potential risks associated with pesticide residues and provide valuable data to help our clients meet their traditional and biopesticide registration and environmental monitoring needs.

Our pesticide analyses include herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, spermicides, rodenticides, and other categories, and we test all crops, fruits, vegetables, grains, other vegetation, soil, water, and animal products using single- and multi-residue methods.

  • Pesticide residue trials: We perform sampling and pesticide residue analysis of various agricultural and environmental samples. We follow international standards and methods such as Codex Alimentarius, ISO 17025, AOAC, etc. to ensure consistency and reliability of the tests.
  • Sample preparation: Our professional team pre-treats and prepares the samples properly to ensure optimal extraction and separation of pesticide residues.
  • Analytical methods: We use advanced analytical techniques and instruments, such as Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) and Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS), to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of pesticide residues.
  • Data interpretation and reporting: Our expert team interprets and evaluates the analytical results and generates detailed reports, including detection limits of pesticide residues, conformity assessment and recommended measures.
